The Entergy Willow Glen plant in St Gabriel. La was built in 1960 and is gas and oil fired with 2200MW of capacity. Included in the 700 acre property is a 2.2 million barrel capacity tank farm with access to a dock and terminal on the Mississippi River. Entergy retired the plant and terminal in 2016 as the power has been replaced by more efficient means. Originally Entergy had the tank farm on the market and Genover was able to negotiate for the entire property and take on full risk and liability for the plant demo and remediation.
